ConnectTherapy™ Treatment for Thoracic Ring Drivers
Advance your skills for more effective treatment of the Thoracic Rings.
You’ve taken ConnectTherapy™ & the Thorax. You’ve started finding Thoracic Ring Drivers in your own clinic and felt what happens when you get to the “wow.” You’ve also met the thoraxes that are harder to assess and harder to treat — the ones where you need more hands-on practice and real feedback to move your skills forward.
This bundle is that next step: roughly 10 hours of self-paced virtual content on treatment guidelines and clinical pearls, then three full days in the lab with LJ and her assisting team — refining your Ring Corrections, sharpening your vector analysis, and building confidence in exercise progression.

Some thoraxes don’t give up their story easily
You correct a Ring and the change is partial. You find a vector, release it, and the outcome measure barely shifts. You’re spending most of the session on release and running out of time for the training that actually makes the change stick. The framework isn’t the problem — the precision is.
Release-heavy, training-light
Time disappears into releasing everything that feels tight. Ring Corrections are inconsistent in quality and percentage, so the findings that follow are hard to trust. Exercise gets whatever minutes are left.
The patient improves — then regresses between visits.
Precise correction, efficient release, real progression
You get direct feedback on the quality and percentage of your Ring Corrections, so what you find is what’s actually there. You learn to identify and release only the most relevant vectors — which frees up the time your patient needs for training.
Then you progress that training with clinical reasoning, not guesswork.
- Better movement strategies — unlock the whole-body strategies a Thoracic Ring Driver has been holding hostage.
- Restored core function — address the thorax first and watch deep system recruitment change without cueing it directly.
- Autonomic balance — support sympathetic/parasympathetic balance through the thorax and breathing mechanics.
- Sleep & wellness — patients report better sleep and broader wellness gains, not just symptom reduction.
Three things you’ll actually walk away with
This is a hands-on, feedback-driven course. You leave with sharper corrections, more efficient release, and progression you can reason through.
Corrections you can trust
Review and practise Thoracic Ring Correction for both assessment and treatment — with feedback on quality and percentage, so your Driver findings are accurate before you act on them.
Vectors that matter
Practise vector analysis of Ring Drivers and CoRing Drivers, and get feedback on identifying and releasing the most relevant vectors — more efficient release, more time for training.
Progression you can reason through
Cue Checks, Self Checks, Resets and Presets — plus “Stack & Train” in different positions, and the clinical reasoning to progress training for a Thoracic Ring Driver.
One bundle, two components
Complete the virtual content first, then arrive in North Vancouver ready to put your hands on people for three straight days.

- Dynamic Stack & Breathe, Stack & Release, Stack & Train
- Exercise progression practice in the Pilates context
What you’ll cover
Assessment, vector analysis, treatment skills, and exercise prescription for Thoracic Ring Drivers — reviewed online, then practised with feedback in the lab.
Identifying a Thoracic Ring Driver in the Driver Profile
Review and practise the hands-on assessment skills that place the thorax accurately in your patient’s Driver Profile.
- Net Thorax & COM/BOS: assess Net Thorax and Net Centre of Mass over Base of Support during functional tasks — and use it as an outcome measure for treatment and training sessions.
- Corrections & the DDC: use Thoracic Ring corrections and Drivers Diagnostics Chart™ reasoning to identify Thoracic Ring Controllers and Thoracic Ring Drivers.
- Co-Ring corrections: practise Co-Ring corrections to confirm Thoracic Ring Co-Drivers — the same skills used in “Stack & Train” progressions.
- Thorax & lower extremity: review the signs indicating a CoDriver between the thorax and a lower extremity region, so you know when more than a Primary Thoracic Ring Driver is influencing movement.
Thoracic Ring vector analysis
Sharpen the vector work that makes your release efficient — and your training time count.
- Vector analysis with feedback: review Thoracic Ring Vector Analysis skills with hands-on feedback.
- Vectors & positions: understand how the location of vectors influences your choice of training positions.
- Vectors & equipment: understand how vector location influences your choice of Pilates equipment.
- Release only what matters: practise identifying and releasing the most relevant vectors — becoming more efficient so more of the session goes to training, and recognising how a targeted release makes subsequent training more effective.
Hands-on treatment skills
Practise the powerful Thoracic Ring treatment skills with direct feedback on the quality and percentage of correction.
- Dynamic Stack & Breathe: release vectors within a dynamic, functional context.
- Dynamic Stack & Release: free the most relevant vectors around the driving rings.
- Stack & Train in the Pilates context: carry correction into loaded, functional training.
- Progression through position: practise “Stack & Train” in different positions to facilitate exercise progression.
Exercise prescription & progression
Turn accurate findings into programs that hold — and hand control back to the patient.
- The Phases of Exercise Prescription: review the phases for Thoracic Ring Drivers within the ConnectTherapy™ treatment framework.
- Reason your progressions: clinically reason how to progress training for patients with a Primary Thoracic Ring Driver, analysing common patterns of dysfunction and muscle imbalance.
- ConnectPilates™ programming: design appropriate programming and exercise progressions for a patient with a Thoracic Ring Driver.
- Self-management tools: implement Cue Checks, Self Checks, Resets and Presets so patients keep the change between sessions.

Dr. LJ Lee
Creator of ConnectTherapy™ and the Thoracic Ring Approach™.
LJ is a physiotherapist, researcher and educator whose clinical work has reshaped how clinicians think about the thorax. Over the past decade she has developed multiple advances in Thoracic Ring Approach™ techniques, treatment framework and exercise prescription — the material at the centre of this course.
She teaches the way she practises: whole-person, evidence-informed, and relentlessly focused on finding the Driver so that your treatment changes what actually matters to your patient.
Small groups, close feedback
The assisting team is what makes the hands-on days work — more eyes on your hands, more feedback per hour, so every skill transfers into your clinic.
