PRIVACY POLICY
Dr. Linda-Joy Lee International, Institute for Physiotherapy & Movement (“LJLI”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have, in connection with this website, any courses offered through it, and other linked and related sites (the “Site”).
1. Information We Collect
We do not collect personally identifiable information about you unless you voluntarily provide it, such as when you register for one of LJLI’s courses, subscribe to our email newsletter, make a purchase, send us feedback, or respond to a survey. This may include your name, email address, mailing address, and billing information.
In addition, we collect certain anonymous (non-personally identifiable) information, such as browser type, device information, and pages visited, to help us improve the Site and evaluate its use.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
Provide access to the courses and Materials you register for or purchase;
Process payments and manage your account;
Send you information about your courses, account, or changes to the Site, and, where you’ve opted in, our newsletter;
Respond to your feedback, questions, and survey responses;
Improve the Site and the courses and Materials we offer.
At your request, we will remove your contact information from our files, except where we are required to retain it for legal, accounting, or payment-processing purposes.
3. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not make your contact information or other personally identifiable information available to anyone outside LJLI, except to the service providers below (who use it only for authorized LJLI purposes), or where we are legally required to do so.
LJLI's courses are hosted and delivered through Thinkific, and payments are processed by Thinkific's payment processor. When you register for a course, your registration and payment information is shared with these providers so they can deliver the course and process your payment. We use Kit for email delivery and newsletter communications, and Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site. We also use Airtable (as our database) and Softr (to build and operate our student CRM and our public “Find a Physio” directory) to manage the information described in this policy. Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing how it handles your information.
4. Find a Physio Directory
If you choose to be listed in our public “Find a Physio” directory, the following information you provide will be displayed publicly on the Site: your name and practice/business name, location or practice address, contact details (such as email, phone, and/or website), and any credentials, bio, or photo you submit. This directory is built and managed using Airtable and Softr. You may request that we correct or remove your listing at any time by contacting us using the information below.
5. Cookies
We use “cookies”, and our Site and course platform may use similar tracking technologies, to improve your experience and to collect anonymous information about how you use the Site. Cookies are not required to use the Site — if your browser is configured not to accept cookies, you will still be able to access the Site and most of its content.
6. Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide you with our courses and services, comply with our legal and accounting obligations, and resolve disputes.
8. Your Choices and Rights
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to unsubscribe from our email communications, at any time by contacting us using the information below.
9. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
10. Aggregate Reporting
When we report information about Site access, use, and impact, we report aggregate, non-personally identifiable data. Occasionally, we report quoted feedback from users. We do not attribute feedback to specific individuals unless we obtain permission to use that person’s name along with the feedback.
11. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy is subject to change without notice. Please check for changes regularly. Your continued use of the Site after such changes constitutes your agreement to those changes.
