TERMS OF USE

Dr. Linda-Joy Lee International Institute for Physiotherapy & Movement (“LJLI”) maintains this website, any courses offered and other linked and related sites (the “Site”) for the use of its customers, vendors, students, and other Site users (“Users”) upon agreement to the following terms. Please read the terms carefully before using the Site. Use of this website indicates acceptance of these “Terms of Use” and forms a binding agreement between you and LJLI. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use this Site.

1. Use of Site

LJLI provides various written materials, information, quizzes, tests, questions, articles, news, and other information on this and related sites and in courses offered through this site (the “Materials”). Among the Materials, LJLI makes certain course handouts and PDF files available for download (the “Downloadable Materials”). LJLI authorizes each User to download and print a maximum of one copy of the Downloadable Materials, provided that Users make no modifications to the Downloadable Materials and retain all copyright and other proprietary notices contained in the original Downloadable Materials on any copies. Except for the Downloadable Materials, Users may not download, copy, print, modify, reproduce, share, or distribute any Materials on this Site in any way. Users will keep all Materials, including the Downloadable Materials, confidential, and will not sell, auction, loan, rent, give away, describe, summarize, or otherwise reveal the Materials or their contents, to any other person or entity. Any breach of these Terms of Use automatically terminates your authorized use of the Site.

LJLI also provides various video and photo content (the “Photos-Videos”). Users are not permitted to download, copy, screen-record, reproduce, distribute, share, sell, resell, sublicense, publicly display, or otherwise use the Photos-Videos, in whole or in part, without LJLI’s prior written consent. Any breach of this provision automatically terminates your authorized use of the Site. 

2. Eligibility: Registered Physiotherapists Only

LJLI's courses are designed specifically for registered physiotherapists. By registering for a course, you confirm that you are a currently registered physiotherapist. If you select “physiotherapist” during registration but do not hold valid professional registration, your access may be denied and no refunds will be issued. LJLI reserves the right to verify credentials and cancel your enrollment at any time if these eligibility requirements are not met.

3. Trademark and Copyright

LJLI, and certain other brands, trademarks, and service marks are marks of LJLI and its affiliates. All content on this Site — including the Materials, the Downloadable Materials, and the Photos-Videos — is protected by copyright, trademark, and/or other intellectual property laws, and any unauthorized use of any content on this Site may violate copyright, trademark, and other laws.

4. Hyperlinks

Links to external websites are provided solely as a convenience to you. LJLI has not reviewed all of these external websites, does not control and is not responsible for any of these sites or their content. If you decide to access any of the external websites linked to this Site, you do so entirely at your own risk.

5. No Warranty

The Materials, Downloadable Materials, and Photos-Videos provided at this Site are provided “as is” without any warranties of any kind including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property. LJLI further does not warrant the accuracy and completeness of the Materials, Downloadable Materials, and Photos-Videos at this Site. LJLI may make changes to the Materials, Downloadable Materials, and Photos-Videos at this Site, or to the services and prices described in them, at any time without notice. The Materials, Downloadable Materials, and Photos-Videos at this Site may be out of date, and LJLI makes no commitment to update them.

6. Limitation of Liability

In no event will LJLI, its suppliers, or other third parties mentioned at this Site be liable for any damages whatsoever (including, without limitation, those resulting from lower test scores, interruption of services or inaccurate information) arising out of the use, inability to use, or the results of the use of this Site, any websites linked to this Site, or the Materials, Downloadable Materials, Photos-Videos, or information contained at any or all such sites, whether based on warranty, contract, tort or any other legal theory and whether or not advised of the possibility of such damages. If your use of the Materials, Downloadable Materials, Photos-Videos, or information from this Site results in the need for servicing, repair or correction of equipment or data, you assume all costs thereof.

7. Applicable Law

The Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the province of British Columbia, Canada. Failure to enforce strict performance of the Terms of Use shall not be construed as a waiver of any provision or right. LJLI may assign its rights and duties under the Terms of Use without notice to any party at any time.

8. Effective Date and Updates

The Terms are effective as of July 17, 2026 and are subject to change without notice by LJLI at any time. Please check for changes regularly. Your use of this Site after such changes constitutes your agreement to such changes.

9. Refunds & Cancellation

Cancellation Policy: LJLI reserves the right to alter the schedule or cancel courses. If a course is cancelled by LJLI, a full refund will be provided.

In-Person Courses: Cancellations must be submitted no later than eight (8) weeks prior to the course start date to be eligible for a full refund, less a non-refundable administrative fee of $300.00 plus applicable taxes. For in-person courses, access to online course materials and resources is granted from the date payment and course registration is received until twelve (12) months after the last day of the in-person course; access will then be automatically removed, and participants will be provided options for renewing access. If you cancel your in-person course registration, access to online course materials and resources will be immediately revoked.

Travel Arrangements: LJLI strongly recommends that participants do not organize non-refundable travel arrangements until the course has been formally confirmed by LJLI. LJLI is not responsible for any travel or accommodation costs incurred for any reason.

Virtual and Online Courses: No refunds will be provided for virtual and online offerings, including prerequisite virtual sessions and self-paced standalone online courses, once access to the online materials has been granted. For virtual courses, access to course materials and resources is granted for a period of twelve (12) months starting from the date of paid enrollment, unless otherwise noted. Access will be automatically revoked at the end of this period, and options will be provided for renewal.

LJLI's courses have a policy of no videotaping, photography, or audio recording. Recording or transmitting, or aiding in recording or transmitting, any description, picture, sound, or reproduction of a course is prohibited without express written consent from LJLI.
